Terminal processing with Nurminen doesn't mean just transferring goods from a vehicle or rail wagon to storage or vice versa; instead, terminal services are tailored based on the needs of the customer and include a diverse selection of loading and lashing services. These services are always tailored to the customers’ needs.

Modern Premises and Equipment
Nurminen’s terminals are modern and their equipment is well-suited for all tasks. The terminal staff consists of skilled experts.
Our heavy lifting truck stock includes the Vuosaari logistics centre's 8-tonne-capacity forklift and 16-tonne lifting truck. This 8-tonne forklift, a rarity in the harbour environment, is only 2.2 metres tall, allowing it to drive into containers. The lifting height of the 16-tonne lifting truck is 4.5 metres, and it has 2.8-metre-long loading forks. Nurminen's lifting truck stock also includes smaller diesel and electric trucks. Using fast couplings, the lifting trucks can quickly be outfitted with different accessories such as paper roll clamps, carton clamps or pulp bale clamps.
Certified terminals
Nurminen’s terminals fulfill the requirements set by the ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001 standards to quality, environmental, occupational health and safety systems. Moreover, all terminals have undergone a Safety and Quality Assesment (SQAS) created by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC).
Special and Heavy Transport Terminal in Vuosaari
Nurminen’s customers also have the option of storing products in the terminal for special and heavy goods located at the Vuosaari logistics centre, which has a specially reinforced floor and an 80-tonne bridge crane.
Our Partners’ Terminals Are Also Available
In addition to its Finnish terminals, Nurminen also has at its disposal a Tranco partner terminal in Almaty, Kazakhstan, which functions as a distribution centre for the Central Asian markets.
