The Vuosaari harbour will go into operation on the 28th of November. By then, Nurminen Logistics new logistics centre located at the harbour will be ready to accept the cargo flows coming into Vuosaari.
Over the summer, the inside of the Nurminen logistics centre will be finished, including both the office and the terminal, which will be completed in early autumn. Railway hall construction is proceeding on schedule, as well. The laying of rails will begin at the end of October and will take about a week.
“We are already laying floors on the third floor of the office. We will begin to asphalt the areas and pave the yards in July. All in all, we are well on schedule. We’ll be working all summer”, says Hannu Rommi, project manager at Lujatalo.
In the first stage, the Nurminen logistics centre will get 34,000 square metres of terminal space. Extensive outdoor areas and its own railway will create a new concept for Nurminen’s operations in the Helsinki region.
