Nurminen Logistics is expanding its rail-first intermodal offering between Sweden and Italy through cooperation with GTS General Transport Service S.p.A, enabling seamless rail connections from Sweden to key destinations in Southern Italy.
Freight is transported by rail from Nurminen’s Nordic Hub in Frövi, Sweden, near Örebro, to Parma in Northern Italy. From Parma, shipments continue by rail with GTS to strategic destinations in Southern Italy, including Napoli, Bari, and Catania.
The entire journey is completed using the same transport unit, with no transloading required along the route. This reduces handling, improves speed and cost efficiency, minimizes operational risk, and ensures a seamless end-to-end transport solution — all managed through one booking and one point of contact.
